Best Deal from Direct TV

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Since we moved here in Murrieta, we are not able to watch much TV right now though the trailer that we are renting got TV but it only has 5 good channels to watch for. My husband love to watch Speed Channel because he can watch his favorite motor bikes races every Sunday and since we can’t watch it now he asked me to check for some TV/Cable services online and if they can hook us up for any packages they have. We tried to apply with other carrier but they said that their service is not available in our area.

Then one time, when we went to Home Show Improvement in Riverside we saw this Direct TV booth so my husband and I approached the salesman if they have service in Murrieta. We are happy to know that most of their clients from Murrieta are subscriber of Directv Service so my husband and I got excited about it and asked for their flyers. We also filled up some application form from there because they have great packages to choose from plus we got to get FREE DVR.

When we arrived home I immediately check the Direct TV Service online. I asked my husband what packages he wants to get once our new house is done. We are thinking to get at least 3 lines. One TV and DVR for the visitor’s pad and 2 TV’s for us.

I also checked all the channels that they offered for every package. They have great selection of kid's show that will be perfect for our daughter. For sure, she will enjoy watching them as well as my husband enjoying his Sunday races.

Cute Boots On The Go

Sunday, April 26, 2009

I went to Promenade Mall in Temecula last time with my husband to buy some new wardrobes. Most of my clothes are all maternity sizes that I used when I was still pregnant and since I already gave birth I need a new set of clothing and shoes for spring time. First, we went to petite section of JC Penny and able to get some small dress size. I told him that I need some woman’s boots to match to the dress that we just bought so we went to their shoes section. I told him that it will take a little bit time for me to choose what shoes I will buy just to give him warning not to rush me. I looked around for their smaller sizes but most of them are one size bigger than my regular woman‘s boots. I almost get frustrated thinking that I might not get the size that I want and besides I don’t want to shop anywhere anymore and it is getting late for us to roam around.

I can see that my husband was getting bored and we still need to feed our baby who just woke up in the stroller. So I told him that I will try to look some other time. While we are heading out for exit we came across with one store that sells woman’s boots, so we checked what they got. I saw one boots that I like but they don’t have the color that I want. The sales lady was very helpful and told me that I can get the color that I want online and then she gave me the website.

I just checked the website the lady gave me. They have lots of shoes, boots and handbags to choose from. I just ordered that boots that I want. Hope it will arrive here soon.

Our baby's first sit - 5 Months and 2 Weeks

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

I know that lots of mothers our there are so proud of their little ones if they started to smile, eat, walk and even talk. I can say this because I am one of them. I am so proud of our little one. They said that being a mother takes a lot of hard work raising their kids but if you heard them giggling and they will look into your eyes while you are playing with them, those sleepless nights and hard work are nothing to compare on how your kid will start interacting with you.

The other day, I was preparing for our daughter’s milk when I heard her saying some sounds so I thought that it was just an ordinary day for her to play on her own but when I went up the bedroom of the trailer I saw her trying to get up with all her knees and arms straight. I was thinking she will start to crawl so I grabbed the camera and stood there for awhile to wait what she will do next.

And this is what our camera caught in action.

Smart Bird!!!!

Monday, April 13, 2009

My husband was about to go out the other day to do some work inside the house that we are building right now when he saw this bird picking up some of our dog’s hair named Snowy. During the day, we put Snowy and Caramel on leash in front of the trailer and they hang out there all day and we unleash them if we go up the hills to take some walk.

Snowy got lots of thick hair not unlike Caramel so her hair usually sheds a lot during winter and it is all over the place. Sometimes when I swept the floor, I can make a huge file of her hair.
So my husband and I were both fascinated with this tiny bird picking up Snowy’s hair. We were thinking that she will use it to build a nest and it will be good for insulation during cold weather. Smart huh!!!!

So while she was busy picking some dog’s hair, we are busy taking picture of this bird from inside the trailer because we don’t want to scare her.

2nd Year Wedding Anniversary with new baby

Friday, April 10, 2009

Yesterday was our 2nd year wedding anniversary. Since we are building our new house and my husband was busy helping the house contractor the whole day, we decided to just go out and have some dinner last night. I was busy browsing Temecula Restaurants online for the good restaurant where we can go to celebrate our anniversary but I don’t want to spend so much for just the two of us and besides we are really trying to budget our savings so that we can use it for the building materials and for other important stuff. Once our house is done, then we can have a big wedding celebration next year - maybe a 2 weeks trip to the Philippines.

We always received booklet coupons for all the restaurants in Murrieta and Temecula. I saw one coupon for Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill which is “Buy two beverages and one entrée and your second entrée is FREE”. So my husband asked me where I want to eat dinner and I suggested him to try this Mexican restaurant and see if their food is really good because according to their flyer that they been voted as Best Mexican Food by Inland Empire Magazine.

My husband ordered Carnitas and I ordered Rodrigo’s Carne Asada. I thought that it will be only a small plate but when the server brings it out to us, I was shock because it is big place. I forgot to take pictures because we are so busy enjoying our meal.

Anyway, it was a great dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We were able to get discounts and at the same time get a good service and good food

Car Race at California Speedway - Fontana

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Last two weeks ago, Brian invited us to watch him racing his Miata in California Speedway, Fontana and also his 11 month old son and wife will be there so my husband and I decided to come over to give support to Brian’s team and also to hang out with his son and his wife Sherri. The weather was nice but a little bit windy. It was a special car race events organized by private groups so it was not really crowded and we don’t have to pay for the entrance ticket not unlike if we go there like AMA Super Bikes Races we have to pay for the entrance tickets and we can’t park the car inside.

When we arrived there, Brian just had his morning practice and qualifying events. He landed 12th place for the qualifying rounds. Not bad for that place because there were at least 30 racing cars competing. His race will be in the afternoon but there are also different groups who are also racing in the morning. Brian told my husband that he can use his car for a race. But it is not a death defying race but just for fun. So he inquired about the fee so he can take his car inside the pit for the race and he was surprised that it was only $1.00! So hubby paid it and was excited to race with other cars that day.

My husband told Brian that the parade lap deal was the most fun he has ever had for a dollar, IN his LIFE!!! He got to charge some of the infield corners pretty hard with another guy in an Integra for about 10 laps and that was a blast.

House Update: Rock the Steel Roof!

Monday, April 6, 2009

At long last, the second and last load of steel roof that my husband ordered last week from Western States Decking arrived the other day from their main warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona. My husband and the contractor for the stucco can’t start doing the stucco and drywall because the roofing should be put first. It was another stressful week for both of us because there’s no improvement about the house for 1 week and also the weather didn’t cooperate last week. My husband and I are both sick and tired living in the trailer because it is so hot during the day and so cold at night and we can’t leave the property together because his tools, doors, bikes and other important stuffs are outside so neither him or I should be here in the property to keep an eye of these things.

My husband promised to finish the project by end of April. How I wish so that we can move already.

Putting the steel roof is not easy. They need to make sure that their measurements are correct. For them to keep going and get motivated, I cooked them some food for breakfast and for lunch.

Baby Stephanie and the Plastic Cup

Sunday, April 5, 2009

The other day, my husband was drinking his juice from the plastic cup and our baby was trying to reach and grab it from him so we tried to offer her the plastic cup with just a few drops of water. At the age of 4 months and 3 weeks she knows already what to do with the cup. My husband and I were both laughing because she knows how to drink from the ordinary cup. The next day, we tried to let her drink her milk from the cup and after she finished drinking I gave her the empty cup to play with. I was washing the dishes when I saw her playing with it and my husband said that she was funny. We took some videos of her as remembrance of that moment when she was trying to learn how to drink from ordinary cup and to show it to her when she gets older.
